Broad Street Plaza – starts on site
The project has just started on site with Marshall Construction awarded the contract to build the prestigious Broad Street Plaza development in Halifax. The £23million scheme is set to transform the centre of the Yorkshire town, and is one of only a handful of major projects to commence in the region during 2009. The 280,000 sq ft mixed-use development, directly opposite the town hall, will comprise a leisure park with Vue cinema, Ten Pin bowling, a 100-bed Premier Inn, restaurants, retail outlets and a 429 space Apcoa car park.
Work is due to complete in March 2012.
